Barbican London (Cinema 1)

Housed amid the Barbican’s brutalist architecture, the centre’s flagship cinema boasts seating for 280 plus two wheelchair positions, with adaptable wall lighting for private events. A 5K HD projector ensures the reliable raked sightlines don’t go to waste, while programming ranges from current independent hits to smartly selected seasons and festival screenings. Alongside parent and baby screenings there are members’ screenings, screen talks, panel discussions and tie-ins with the Barbican’s multidisciplinary events programme. In the summer, outdoor screenings in the Sculpture Park make for a spectacular experience. The surrounding bars and restaurants sell burgers, cocktails, quality Italian grub and more.
