About Close-Up Film Centre Shoreditch
Contact & About
Situated just off east London’s iconic Brick Lane, the Close-Up Film Centre is a temple for fans of independent film. The small, 40-seat screening room has comfortable seats and a large screen, and shows an eclectic line-up of modern and classic world cinema, including regular filmmaker retrospectives. There’s a relaxed, licensed cafe on site, but the real draw is the vast library of DVDs and Blu-rays. The impressive collection, built up since 2005, features UK releases as well as foreign discs that are difficult to find anywhere else. They’re available on loan for a small membership fee.
