What was originally a purpose-built cinema back in 1913 got turned into a builders’ merchant for many years. Seduced by its magnificent domed roof and undisturbed mouldings, the current owners decided to take the plunge and restore the cinema and turn the space into a multi-purpose arts centre which would host theatre, live music, films, and exhibitions, complete with an excellent restaurant.
