Contact & About

The current Leatherhead Theatre, formerly known as the Thorndike Theatre, opened in September 1969. Many well-known stars performed on the stage until the venue was closed in 1997 following the withdrawal of public funding. In 1999 the building was awarded Grade II listed status for buildings of special architectural or historic interest. In 2001, the theatre opened again after a 15-year lease was granted to a local charity and social enterprise.
