The original theatre started life in the 1870s as a roller-skating rink, before the owners erected a makeshift stage and renamed it The Rink Theatre. Since then, it has gone through many iterations before becoming the beloved Marina Theatre of today. The Marina's mandate is to develop, promote, maintain, and advance community engagement in the arts and culture.
Getting Here, Map & Parking
The Battery Green car park is a 2-minute walk away, parking is free after 6pm. More car parking can also be found at Clapham Road car park behind Lowestoft Library, which is roughly a 5-minute walk from the Theatre.
Lowestoft Train station is roughly 8 minutes walking away and is serviced by trains to and from Norwich and Ipswich where you can connect to the East Coast Mainline to London.
Lowestoft Bus Station is a 5-minute walk away with regular service to and from Norwich, Great Yarmouth, and Southwold.
