About BFI London Southbank

Contact & About

Launched in its current spot in 1957, the former National Film Theatre became the BFI Southbank in 2007. Between the expansive main screen and the bijou Studio, the cinemas host director retrospectives, themed seasons, Q&As, festivals such as London Film Festival, TV launches, new releases and more. Celebrations of genre and arthouse cinema share space in the timetable, often accompanied by A-list panel discussions and interviews. To complete your visit, a library, bars, restaurants and more await nearby. And if you want something to take home, the shop offers books, gifts, posters, DVDs and Blu-rays, auteur T-shirts and more.
