The Peckhamplex offers no frills but plenty of bang for your buck, with all tickets priced at just £4.99 (except 3D features, which cost a whole quid more) in a down-and-dirty trad 1990s aesthetic. But it’s not just blockbusters – you can also enjoy foreign-language films and live events, plus baby screenings, subtitled films and autism-friendly showings. Be warned: queues form early for popular films, so book in advance to guarantee your ticket. The concessions stand offers standard cinema fare, but you can take advantage of the varied street food on offer at the Peckham Levels market, only a short walk away.
