Whilst on a work assignment one evening, Émilie (Julie Gayet) offers an impromptu lift home to Gabriel (Michael Cohen). Despite each having respective partners, the pair end up enjoying a romantic dinner. At the end of the evening Émilie refuses to give Gabriel a farewell kiss. Pourquoi? "Because a single kiss can change your life", she says, and to illustrate her point she tells the story of of a married woman (Virgine Ledoyen) and her best friend (Emmanuel Mouret) overcome by the effects of a kiss. A kiss that should have been of no consequence...
