How to watch We Hunt Together season 2 in the UK

Two mismatched cops are on the hunt for a killer! Yes, it’s that old sawhorse again. But there’s enough twists and surprises in this lurid, Wales-set crime drama to make it worth your while. Having won a devoted audience with its shocking first run, season two of We Hunt Together is now streaming on Now and Sky Go, and available to rent or buy on Apple TV, Amazon Video, Google Play, and the Microsoft Store.

The first season saw our nominal heroes, Detective Inspector Jackson Mendy (Babou Ceesay) and detective Sergeant Lola Franks (Eve Myles), tracking down murderous lovers Frederica “Freddy” Lane (Hermione Corfield) and Babeni “Baba” Lenga (Dipo Ola), ending with Baba dead and Freddy declared innocent of their crimes. When we pick things up for season two, Mendy and Franks are investigating a serial killer: the macabre Birdman. But when Freddy starts getting letters (and body parts!) from the new killer, it’s clear that there’s some kind of connection between the two.

We Hunt Together was interesting in that it spent as much time with its killer couple as the cops chasing them, meaning the title could apply to either pair. This time around the identity of the Birdman is kept from the viewers, and it remains to be seen if this change of approach will satisfy fans—part of the macabre fun was feeling sympathy for the devil, as it were.

But the series still delights in digging into the modern obsession with true crime and the notion of celebrity murderers. A whole cottage industry of conspiracy theorists and armchair detectives has sprung up around Freddy, while she herself is working on a “tell-all” book about her role in last season’s killing spree. Viewers may feel that cuts a little too close to the bone, but let’s face it: we’re all complicit. Let the hunt begin!
