When a biker named Harley (Mickey Rourke) and his cowboy partner, Marlboro, find that a greedy bank is forcing the shut down of a friend's bar, the two decide to help out by robbing it in order to pay the inflated tab of the bar.

Arriving in Australia with his prized rifle, American sharpshooter Quigley (Tom Selleck) thinks he's been hired to kill off wild dogs. But when he realises that his mission is murder - to "eliminate" Aborigines from a wealthy cattle baron's land - Quigley refuses and quickly turns from hunter to hunted.
